MADISON, Wis. -- Ben Brust scored 19 points to lead six Wisconsin players in double figures as the No. 12 Badgers beat Bowling Green 88-64 on Thursday night. Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker added 14 apiece for Wisconsin (5-0). Traevon Jackson had 13, Josh Gasser 11 and Bronson Koenig 10. Spencer Parker led Bowling Green (1-2) with 17 points, and Jehvon Clarke added 15. Wisconsin took control a little more than midway through the first half. With the Badgers up 23-22, Dekker started a 16-4 run by converting a three-point play and then Wisconsin began to hit from outside. Jackson, Brust and Duje Dukan each made a 3-pointer during the spurt. Brust added another 3 before the half was over, and Wisconsin went into the break up 44-28. It was another up-tempo offensive performance for Wisconsin, which has had a reputation as a grind-it-out team during coach Bo Ryans tenure. After averaging 65 points a game last year, the Badgers are now scoring 81 a game in the early going this season. The Badgers also are giving up more points than Ryan is used to, surrendering almost 69 points a game after holding opponents to less than 56 a season ago. Wisconsin took control a little more than midway through the first half. Up 23-22, Dekker started a 16-4 run by converting a three-point play, and the Badgers began to hit from outside. Jackson, Brust and Duje Dukan each hit a 3 in the run. Brust added another 3 before the half was over, and Wisconsin went into the break up 44-28. With the Badgers starting to run away with the game in the second half, Bowling Green went to a full-court press that at least slowed Wisconsin down temporarily. The Falcons were able to cut a 24-point deficit down to as little as 14. But going to the press also came at a price as Bowling Green started racking up fouls and sending Wisconsin to the foul line. Guard JD Tisdale was whistled for his fourth with just more than eight minutes to go, and Parker picked up his fourth 30 seconds later. Tisdale was called for his fifth with more than 6 minutes to go, and Bowling Green got away from the press in the final minutes. Cheap NFL Jerseys . When you think teams you imagine a group of people who all shop at the same jersey store and move together in a large pack with a common goal, which is usually scoring goals. But at these Olympic Games the idea of becoming a team in figure skating makes perfect sense because of a new event called, shockingly, the Team Event. http://www.chinajerseyscheap.us.com/nike-nfl-jerse...ts-jers ey/ . Cheap Carolina Panthers Jerseys . -- U.S. captain Tom Watson said Monday that Tiger Woods latest back injury "doesnt bode well right now" for Woods playing in the Ryder Cup. Cheap Jerseys From China . "There are a lot of kids out there in my situation, probably far worse situations," he said in a phone interview with The Associated Press.LAKELAND, Fla. -- Drew Smyly could finally relax on the mound Monday. Then again, he hasnt looked nervous all spring. Smyly started fast and then faded in his first outing since winning a job in Detroits rotation, but the Tigers got home runs from Prince Fielder and Delmon Young in an 11-8 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Smyly has only one year of professional experience and has never pitched above Double-A, but he beat out Andy Oliver and Duane Below for the final spot in the Tigers rotation. The 22-year-old lefty, handed a 9-0 lead after two innings Monday, carried a shutout into the fifth before giving up four runs -- including a homer by Omar Vizquel. A second-round draft pick in 2010 out of Arkansas, Smyly was charged with four runs and four hits in 5 1-3 innings. He struck out four and walked two. Smyly ended the spring with a 4.00 ERA, but manager Jim Leyland said there was something about the youngster that earned him a spot on the team. "Doesnt show much emotion," Leyland said. "Hes always pretty calm, so I dont think the pressure is ever going to get to him. Its the first time he wasnt pitching for a spot and I like him a lot. He earned a spot." Smyly has been quiet and calm throughout camp. Oliver and Below both have big league experience, but Leyland said he has no concerns about Smyly. "Hes got a great delivery and can throw any of his pitches for strikes," Leyland said. "He showed today how calm he is when he is in a situation." Brett Cecil was ineffective for the Blue Jays. He gave up nine runs, seven earned, and 11 hits in four innings, increasing his sppring training ERA to 6.dddddddddddd48. "Theres concern," Toronto manager John Farrell said. "There will certainly be discussion and evaluation and internal talks that will take place today and tomorrow. Youd like to see guys kind of on the incline going into the start of the season rather than the reverse." Cecil, who went 4-11 with a 4.73 ERA last season, is a likely candidate for a spot in the Toronto rotation, but Farrells patience may be wearing thin. "He has got to start pitching to location," Farrell said. "Against a team like (Detroit), he cant pitch like that." Fielder and Young both homered off Cecil. It was Fielders fourth of the spring and Youngs sixth. Brennan Boesch and Young each had three hits for Detroit. Marcus Knecht also homered for Toronto.
