If Evander Kane wants out of Winnipeg, Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is not letting it be known. Cheveldayoff spoke to the Winnipeg media Friday afternoon in regards to the speculation that Kane is unhappy with his current situation and has asked for a trade. "With specific reference to Evander, the situation where he was asked those questions, I think hes been asked those questions year after year after year, since hes been here and since he has signed the contract," said the GM. "So Evander is a Winnipeg Jet and what I took from his comments there are that hes excited about being healthy and training this summer and really looking forward to a solid summer of training." Kane had an interview with Vancouvers TEAM 1040 on Tuesday and was vague on whether or not he wanted to return to the team. "Well, I think Im a Winnipeg Jet right now," Kane told host Matt Sekeres. "And, you know, theres been speculation and rumours the three years since I got there. So well see what happens and well carry on as if Im a Winnipeg Jet." Cheveldayoff called Kane a "professional," during Fridays media scrum and said he expects the 22-year-old to be at the peak of his performance when training camp rolls around. "If I answer every question or every rumour or every speculation that a player may or may not have asked something, may or may not have said something, Id be answering those all day long," said Cheveldayoff. "Evander Kane is a Winnipeg Jet and thats how we are moving forward." Kane, who signed a six-year, $31.5 million contract with the Jets in 2012, has been the subject of trade rumours since last season. He scored 19 goals and added 22 assists in 63 games with the Jets in 2013-14. In five NHL seasons - all with the Winnipeg /Atlanta franchise - hes scored 99 goals and 200 points. Burgess, a fifth-year science student from Halifax, scored five goals in two games over the weekend to lead the Huskies (2-1) to a road sweep of UNB, 3-2, and Moncton, 5-1. The prolific striker tallied all three of her teams goal Saturday in Fredericton, including the game-winner in the 79th minute, and added a pair on Sunday as Saint Marys wrapped up its perfect tour of New Brunswick. Alex Smith Jersey . Arenados two-run double in the first extended his hitting streak to 27 games, matching teammate Michael Cuddyers record streak from last year. It also put Colorado ahead to stay on way to its third lopsided victory over the Rangers in as many nights, 9-2 on Wednesday. http://www.shopchiefsus.com/women-justin-houston-c...rsey-sa le/ . To be fair, the celebrations are already anything but tame. Nerf ball tricks shots are just the tip of the iceberg for a group that has performed in zero gravity, faced pro-skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and an assembled team on the MTV series "Fantasy Factory", and even hit a basketball trick shot from a passing blimp. Donnie Avery Jersey . -- Free-agent left-hander Scott Kazmir agreed to terms on a $22 million, two-year contract with the Oakland Athletics on Monday, a person with knowledge of the negotiations said. Dee Ford Jersey .500 on the season. The Jets are now 0-5-1 in the second game of back-to-backs. The game started the same way the Vancouver game started the night before, with the Jets taking the first two penalties of the game and killing off the first, but the Oilers getting on the board first, scoring on the second man-advantage.FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Diego Fagundez scored two first-half goals and the New England Revolution routed the Western Conference-leading Seattle Sounders 5-0 Sunday. New England (5-3-2) extended its unbeaten run to five matches (4-0-1), and snapped a four-match winless slide against Seattle. The Sounders (7-3-1) had their six-match (5-0-1) unbeaten run ended and the MLS No. 1 ranked offence was shut out for the first time this season. Fagundez scored his first two goals of the season in the 29th and 41st minutes for the Revolution. Rookie Patrick Mullins, making just his third appearance, scored his second goal in as many matches to put New England ahead in the 14th minute. Teal Bunbury banged in a rebound of his own shot off the left wing in the 36th minute for New Englands third goal. And his drive off the right wing in the 46th minute was deflected off Seatttle defender Chad Marshall for an own goal -- the Revolutions fifth of the match.dddddddddddd New England scored four goals during a first half for the eighth time in club history. Mullins converted a loose ball for the Revolutions go-ahead goal. New England goalie Bobby Shuttleworth, who has allowed just two goals during the five-match unbeaten run, posted his fourth shutout. Seattles best chances occurred on a header by Marshall in the 54th minute, a drive by Gonzalo Pineda in the 76th minute and another from the left by Kenny Cooper in the 77th minute. ' ' '
