The man everybody loves to hate, along with co-recruit Kyrie Irving, may well be about to do the unthinkable in 2020; bring a championship to the Nets franchise. The two-time Finals MVP made the move back East, closer to his home in Maryland, earlier this week, and now, a perfectly-matched Brooklyn Nets colorway of his 12th signature sneaker has emerged. Coincidence? Possibly.
It has, in fact, borrowed the color scheme from the iconic KD 12 EYBL noted in its grey-speckled midsoles, Swooshes and tongue detail, along with sparingly used pops of vibrant red along with its branding and detail hits. Black uppers still manage to showcase the Quad Axial Flywire beneath, as well as the heel branding hits peering out beneath. Completing the design are black glazed toe overlays, a fully-translucent outsole, and a very unique black pearl-like toecap.
We’re already seeing a large number of upcoming KD 12 ’s on release calendars, including the upcoming EYBL NRG releases, but this pair isn’t one of them — that being said official images on Nike servers means one thing; an impending drop will occur!
