The Los Angeles Chargers have exercised their fifth-year contract option for 2019 on running back Melvin Gordon.
The Bolts announced the long-expected move Wednesday.
Gordon is a workhorse ball-carrier for the Chargers Adidas Tuukka Rask Jersey , who had one of the NFLâs most productive attacks last season.
Gordon finished fifth in the NFL with 1,581 yards from scrimmage during the Chargersâ relocation season, while his 1,105 yards rushing were seventh in the league.
The Wisconsin product was the 15th overall pick in the 2015 draft.
The Chargers chose prolific Northwestern running back Justin Jackson in the seventh round last week to provide depth behind Gordon and Austin Ekeler, who emerged as a surprisingly effective backup last season after signing as an undrafted free agent.

In Wednesdayâs regular-season finale at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, Westbrook has a chance to accomplish something that has never been done in NBA history.
But a win for the Thunder would improve Oklahoma Cityâs playoff position and could possibly even lift it into a top-four seed in the NBA playoffs.
If Westbrook hits that rebounding mark Cheap Frank Ragnow Jersey , he would become the first player in league history to average a triple-double in back-to-back seasons. Westbrook has already clinched double-digit averages in scoring (25.6 points per game) and assists (10.1).

âIt would be another incredible milestone this year, but itâs not about that. Itâs about our team and itâs about winning,â Thunder coach Billy Donovan said. âRebounding helps us win. The assists get other people involved. I think it speaks to him as a player, more than anything else, in how unique he is.â

Memphis should land a high draft pick after clinching the second-worst record in the NBA with Mondayâs loss at Minnesota.
The Grizzlies will have about a 20 percent chance at earning the top pick in the draft and the worst pick they could have is No. 5.
