This week, he showed it, or at least tried to.
According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Rosen tried to decline the invitation to聽the NFL Player Associationâs 鈥淩ookie Premiere鈥?so he could stay in Arizona and practice, but was told he couldnât.
That decision sparked some back-and-forth on Twitter between ESPN and the union over a report that one player wanted to Jamaal Williams Jersey , and created some confusion about what could and couldnât be done by players.
The event is voluntary, but players are told that by rule, they canât work out with their teams during the event if they choose to skip it. (Which keeps teams from making them âvolunteerâ for their âvoluntaryâ workouts instead.) But the CBA says that teams must permit rookies to attend the event, and doesnât specify that they canât be at the team facility if they donât go. Thereâs a side agreement between the league and the union on the matter, and the league sends out a memo each year saying that players invited to the event canât practice during that weekend.

While the minutiae of the interpretation of the CBA might not move the needle, itâs at least a bit of evidence (such that he should have to provide any) that Rosen wanted to stay in Arizona and work on his craft.
Thatâs the kind the thing that people who care about football do.
Albert Pujols will spend the All-Star break on the disabled list with left knee inflammation, a move that lets the Los Angeles Angels rest their slugger without him missing too many games.
Manager Mike Scioscia said Friday that Pujols had an injection in his knee.
âHeâs been playing with it banged up for a while and heâs looking very productive,â Scioscia said. âThis is trying to get him to a higher level and maybe make him more comfortable.â
Pujols tied Ken Griffey Jr. on the career home run list with his 630th blast on Thursday. Pujols is hitting .252 with 16 homers and 52 RBIs.
The Angels and Dodgers meet in the Freeway Series this weekend before the break begins. With the series at Dodger Stadium, there is no designated hitter Joe Hawley Jersey , and that combined with the break gives Pujols an extended rest.
âIt should be improved by the end of the DL time, so we expect him back after that,â Scioscia said.
