The biggest drawback of the eccentric bottom tapping is the requirement that the electric arc furnace is elevated. The structure of electric arc furnace in our country is mostly pit type, and the elevated type is less. In addition, the capacity of electric arc furnace is smaller and the equipment of workshop is aging, which makes it difficult to reform. There will be a long-term process to develop and popularize eccentric bottom tapping.
