A good SCSI connector should fit naturally into the manufacturing process. PCB mounting style, solder termination, footprint, mounting holes, and connector height all need to match the board design.
Through-hole mounting can provide strong mechanical support in applications where the connector experiences repeated physical stress. Other connector families may use different termination methods depending on the intended PCB design.
Before production, engineers should confirm the footprint and mechanical clearance carefully. A connector can have the correct electrical interface but still create problems if its body interferes with nearby components.
Where Can It Be Used?
A SCSI connector for PCB can be considered for industrial computers, storage-related equipment, communication systems, test instruments, automation equipment, and existing systems that require SCSI compatibility.
