A day after Canada lost its first Olympics mens curling match since 2006, Brad Jacobs and his Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. rink fell to Sweden 7-6 on Tuesday in Sochi, dropping their record to 1-2. The game was a tight affair, with the teams exchanging a series of deuces before the decisive 10th end. With the score tied at 6-6, Edin had the hammer and drew to the four-foot for the win. His final stone was so close, Edin had a hard time determining who was closest to the button. "When we shook hands, I had to ask them who won," Edin said. "It was kind of a weird moment not knowing." The win keeps Sweden undefeated through their first three matches, while Canada suffers a second-straight loss after being upset 5-4 against Switzerland on Monday. "Were not flat, were just not making everything," Canadian third Ryan Fry said. "Against teams that are playing this good against us, you need to make everything." Canadas next game is on Wednesday against the host Russians at 10 a.m. ET, and Jacobs told CBCs Colleen Jones theyre expecting a raucous atmosphere at the Sochi Ice Cube. "We expect [Russia] to come out firing and the crowds obviously going to be really into it, probably the most into any game all week, because were Team Canada," Jacobs said.
